Emma: "powerful" and "dressed beautifully" // 13 August 2007

Another day, another ranking. TheSnitch told us that Emma is in the UK Film Council "Britain's Most Powerful Film Stars in Hollywood" list. Here's what the Council had to say about Emma:

"At 17, Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, is the most successful female star, ranked joint fourth alongside her co-stars." (her co-stars being Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint & Ralph Fiennes)

Emma is also ranked joint fourth in the top 10 movie maker list.

News confirmed by her official site, Emma has been cast in the upcoming animated movie, "The Tale of Despereaux", based on the best-selling fantasy by Katie DiCamillo.
Emma is the voice of Princess Pea, the princess whom a small mouse has fallen in love with.

Congratulations, Emma. =D

Emma has reportedly become a diva

The 16-year-old - who plays Hermione Granger in the hit films - has started complaining about her work and arguing with the film bosses. Emma is said to have confronted the director of 'Harry Potter and the Order of thePhoenix', David Yates, and asked him whether she was contractually obliged to do so many takes. Yates - who prefers to do around 30 takes to get everything just right - politely told her "yes". The young actress threatened to quit the Harry Potter series but was allegedly lured back with a £2 million contract to keep playing Hermione for the full seven films. Emma said: "I've kind of come from nowhere and gone straight in at the top. Where do I go from here? I feel like I need to backtrack and work my way through again. "I'd be really interested to kind of train properly because I feel I shouldn't be here. I should have done so much more." But she denies money was the reason she considered quitting. She said: "It was more about juggling my A-level exams, going to university and doing the movies."

hrat/hviezdit v BBC adaptacii (predstaveni) klasickej detskej poviedke
"baletne topanocky/cvicky". Bude hrat rolu siroty v drame.

Poviedka/pribeh "Baletne topanocky/cvicky" napisal Noel Streatfield a
publikoval ich v roku 1999. Je to pribeh troch osirelych sestier, ktore
su adoptovane vystrednym badatelom a .... (asi vyrastali) pri jeho
neteri.


Zaciatok filmovania/tocenia "Baletnych topanociek/cviciek" je
nastaveny/naplanovany na tento mesiac a ocakava sa, ze to bude uvedene v
BBC vo vianocnom programe.

Doteraz nebolo spravene ziadne oficialne potvrdenie zo strany BBC, takze
to zatial nie je oficialne.


Aktualizacia:

Telegraf, Britske letakove noviny oznamili, ze Emma bude hrat Pauline,
jednu z troch osirelych sestier. Charakter Pauline si vyzaduje stat
sa/byt hereckou v pribehu.

UPDATE: Emma Watson to star in Ballet Shoes

The Sunday Mirror, a British tabloid has reported that Emma Watson will star in a BBC adaptation of classic children's tale Ballet Shoes. She will play the role of an orphan in the drama.

Ballet Shoes was written by Noel Streatfeild and published in 1999. It is the tale of three orphaned sisters who are adopted by an eccentric explorer and raised by his niece.

Filming of Ballet Shoes is set to start this month and is expected to be the centerpiece of the BBC's Christmas line-up.

As of yet, theres been no official confirmation of this from the BBC, so its not official yet!

UPDATE:
The Telegraph, a British broadsheet newspaper has reported that Emma will play Pauline, one of the three orphaned sisters. The character Pauline wants to become an actress in the story.
